Storm damage in the park
Several trees were damaged and at least one blown down in the Mains Park yesterday.
The main path across the path was blocked.


One of the trees along the north side of the park was also badly damaged
And Hunter Road was littered with debris

More direct trains to Edinburgh
Scotrail has now published a new train timetable which runs from 22nd May to 10th December 2011.
The timetable can be found at

Note that there are now direct trains to Edinburgh half-hourly during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays. The timetable for this line including all the intermediate stops is at

Park development
We are having a small ceremony to officially open phase 1 of the park development on 2nd June at 10am. You are invited to attend.

MERA AGM
The Mains Estate Residents' Association AGM will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1st June 2011 at Clober Primary School.
All residents will be very welcome. Please come along if you can.
This year we will be bringing you up to date on the progress made regarding the improvements in the park and our future plans for the next phase. There will be up-to-date information available on Hunter Road and the new roundabout at the junction of Duntocher Road and Baljaffray Road.
We have invited “We Like Milngavie Group” representatives to give a presentation and discuss the Tesco development.
All residents will be very welcome. Please come along if you can.
