Activity bus

We have been asked by the Community Council to advise that there will be an activity bus present in Milngavie Precinct on Mon 2nd and Tues 3rd September from 9am-5pm.

This is part of the PlayTalkRead initiative in partnership with Working on Wheels.

The bus is a free initiative which is providing activities and resources to parents and their children, on behalf of Scottish Government and in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council.

Making the Most of Milngavie

A meeting will be held on Monday 17th June at the Fraser Centre at 7.30 p.m.  It is called "Making the Most of Milngavie," and it is a public meeting being run by outside professionals with the support of the Community Council. They wish people from all walks of life to attend to exchange ideas about making Milngavie a better place to live, work and visit.

Changes to local bus services

A new hourly bus service has been introduced. This is the no. 15 run by Glasgow Citybus, starting from 20th May and replacing the SPT-supported 118A service. It will call at Milngavie Station, Baljaffray Shops, Bearsden Cross, Canniesburn Toll, Anniesland Cross, Glasgow University Main Entrance, Charing Cross, and Hope Street Central Station. Please note that there is also a new timetable for the 119, starting from 26th May, when the service will also be renumbered from 119 to 60A. The new timetable can be found on the First Glasgow website
