Biogas plant

The link below is to an article about a biogas plant which may be built in Barrhead. It might be of interest to MERA's members and others as it is similar to the one which the owners of Tambowie Farm want to build.

A Bearsden North roadshow is being held at Bearsden Cross (outside M&S) on the 27th of August between 09.00 and 14.00.

A roadshow for Bearsden South is being held on the 17th of September in the parking bays adjacent to Kessington Hall between 09.00 and 14.00.

The Milngavie roadshow was held on the 20th of August but we had very short notice of it.

Craigton Woods appeal by Cala

We have just been informed that Cala have submitted an appeal to the Scottish Office on Craigton Woods.

Planning applications

Clober Primary School has submitted a planning application for a biomass plant and associated flues under TP/ED/15/0473. MERA would welcome comments on this.

Tambowie Farm has submitted an application under TP/ED/15/0426 to construct a biogas plant processing matter by anaerobic digestion. Following our AGM, the Association would also like to know how the residents feel about this proposed development and the associated trucks etc.
